Energy Utilities
Utilities Supply the Power
Utilities in northeastern Minnesota provide the energy you need to power your business.
Natural gas, electric and steam power are abundant, affordable and dependable.
Electricity
The state's largest utilities are members of the Mid-Continent Area Power Pool (MAPP), an alliance that ensures the availability and delivery of reliable, low-cost energy to Minnesota businesses and residents. Minnesota law requires that utilities spend 1.5 percent of their annual gross electric revenue on programs that help customers save energy.
